"The climate we are in right now in this country is why I am taking this course. I’ve always been interested in how the places and people that have endured racial tension progressed from hostility slowly toward more harmony, but it is clear that we still have a long way to go. This class will allow me to visit those historic places and take back with me a deeper appreciation for what the people in the civil rights movement did for me and my generation." - Jonathan is in the 12th Grade, and he is an Editor for the School's newspaper, The Benedict News.
