My community service at the animal shelter in Clarksdale

I can’t really describe the feeling I got while volunteering at the animal shelter, called Clarksdale Cares. Seeing these animals without families made me want to help even more. I found a connection between us humans and the animals: they just want a place to belong and to be loved. Volunteering gave me the opportunity to be a part of something greater than myself. I got a chance to assist with the things that needed to get done in the shelter and it was a very great experience for me. In the future I plan on volunteering again whenever the opportunity presents itself. It’s a great chance to give back and builds community, so I would like to continue to be part of community service projects.
